I'll admit it, I hate housework, chores and all things cleaning related. I'd much rather sit down with a cuppa and watch soaps. I blame working full time, too tired to do housework or favouring some "me" time over chores. When I saw this post from Mother Scuffer, it inspired me to get organised too. So, the weekend was spent cleaning and tidying so I had a "fresh canvas" to work with this week. To keep Alfie busy (Mr L was working) I got the paints and glitter out. BIG mistake. Lets just say regardless of what housework has been done, my house, garden, child, pets and pretty much anything within our home sparkles.

So yesterday on my list was to clean the kitchen. I did everything bar vaccum - this is because our kitchen and dining room are adjoined so I'll be doing that this evening once I've cleaned the dining room. I've used the same basic rule as Mother Scuffer - a room a day. To me, that's doable and I get a rest day! The idea is that the room is cleaned entirely rather than specific chores like Hoover and mop one day and clean the oven another. I've decided to dedicate a day to ironing - Sunday evening. I never used to iron, I'm more of an iron as you wear kinda gal but often find myself rushing around in the morning trying to iron, dress a toddler, shower, feed the animals and be out the door on time! I'm really hoping I stick to this because I have to admit I'm happy knowing I've got a friend coming round after work today because I'm not in a panic clean mode!
Now I must leave you because I have washing to put in the tumbler!
